Kate Collins gained a degree in Design and Costume Interpretation in London and now has over 15 years experience in fashion and costume design and production. Kate has worked with some of the industry’s leading companies both nationally and internationally, such as The Royal Opera House (London), Glyndebourne Opera Company and for several feature films. Kate has developed an excellent knowledge of period and vintage fashion, both in design and pattern cutting. Kate has always loved vintage fashions and accessories, and is often found scouring flea markets and antique fairs to pick up pieces of jewellery or clothing to use in her designs.
With her attention turned to bridal wear for over 10 years, Kate has produced some of the most beautiful and stylish gowns that have indulged her clients ideas and most extravagant concepts. Using antique laces and intricate beadwork to embellish beautiful silks and satins, Kate’s designs compliment and flatter every client in a bespoke manner. This personal and unique approach to producing a wedding dress has led to high recommendation from her previous clients.
