Silk chiffon short wedding dress with lace bolero sleeves Devon rustic wedding natural flowers meadow home-grown

Rosey

When Rosey told me her wedding was to be near Polzeath in Cornwall I was immediately excited to design a dress for her. We spent every family holiday when I was young in Cornwall and more recently we’d actually stayed in Polzeath so I could imagine the coastline and the area well. Rosey didn’t like the idea of a big wedding and wanted a dress which she felt relaxed and comfortable in. She was sure of the shorter length as the walk from church to reception was across sandy dunes and a golf course- flip flops were also a must! Cornflower blue was the colour they chose for Tom’s jacket so keeping Rosey’s dress in a fresh pale ivory silk chiffon was an obvious choice. A short sleeved beaded shrug gave the delicate dress a slightly more formal look for the ceremony and beaded lace on the split front skirt kept some detail for when this was taken off. A lovely warm summer wedding day celebrated and enjoyed in a relaxed way that they both wanted.
